بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
﴿١﴾
What is it that they are questioning each other about?!
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
﴿٢﴾
[Is it] about the Great Tiding,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ
﴿٣﴾
The one about which they differ?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
﴿٤﴾
No indeed! Soon they will know!
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
﴿٥﴾
No indeed! Soon they will know for once again!
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَٰدًۭا
﴿٦﴾
Did We not make the earth a resting place?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًۭا
﴿٧﴾
And the mountains stakes?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَخَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا
﴿٨﴾
And create you in pairs?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًۭا
﴿٩﴾
And make your sleep for rest?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا
﴿١٠﴾
And make the night a covering?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًۭا
﴿١١﴾
And make the day for livelihood?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًۭا شِدَادًۭا
﴿١٢﴾
And build above you the seven mighty heavens?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًۭا وَهَّاجًۭا
﴿١٣﴾
And make [the sun for] a radiant lamp?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءًۭ ثَجَّاجًۭا
﴿١٤﴾
And send down water pouring from the rain-clouds,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّۭا وَنَبَاتًۭا
﴿١٥﴾
That We may bring forth with it grains and plants,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا
﴿١٦﴾
And luxuriant gardens?
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتًۭا
﴿١٧﴾
Indeed the Day of Judgement is the tryst,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًۭا
﴿١٨﴾
The day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will come in groups,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًۭا
﴿١٩﴾
And the sky will be opened and become gates,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا
﴿٢٠﴾
And the mountains will be set moving and become a mirage.
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًۭا
﴿٢١﴾
Indeed hell is in ambush,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًۭا
﴿٢٢﴾
A resort for the rebels,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًۭا
﴿٢٣﴾
To reside therein for ages,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًۭا وَلَا شَرَابًا
﴿٢٤﴾
Tasting in it neither any coolness nor drink,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
إِلَّا حَمِيمًۭا وَغَسَّاقًۭا
﴿٢٥﴾
Except boiling water and pus,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
جَزَآءًۭ وِفَاقًا
﴿٢٦﴾
A fitting requital.
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًۭا
﴿٢٧﴾
Indeed they did not expect any reckoning,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابًۭا
﴿٢٨﴾
And they denied Our signs mendaciously,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ كِتَٰبًۭا
﴿٢٩﴾
And We have figured everything in a Book.
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا
﴿٣٠﴾
So [now] taste! We shall increase you in nothing but punishment!
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا
﴿٣١﴾
Indeed a triumph awaits the Godwary:
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعْنَٰبًۭا
﴿٣٢﴾
Gardens and vineyards,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًۭا
﴿٣٣﴾
And buxom maidens of a like age,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
وَكَأْسًۭا دِهَاقًۭا
﴿٣٤﴾
And brimming cups.
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا كِذَّٰبًۭا
﴿٣٥﴾
Therein they shall hear neither vain talk nor lies
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
جَزَآءًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًۭا
﴿٣٦﴾
—a reward and a sufficing bounty from your Lord,
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًۭا
﴿٣٧﴾
The All-beneficent, the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. They will not be able to address Him
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّۭا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًۭا
﴿٣٨﴾
On the day when the Spirit and the angels stand in an array: none shall speak except someone who is permitted by the All-beneficent and says what is rightful.
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا
﴿٣٩﴾
That day is true for certain. So let anyone who wishes take resort with his Lord.
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَٰكُمْ عَذَابًۭا قَرِيبًۭا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٰبًۢا
﴿٤٠﴾
Indeed We have warned you of a punishment near at hand—the day when a person will observe what his hands have sent ahead and the faithless one will say, `I wish I were dust! `
— Translation — Ali Quli Qarai
